New MOD-1 plus SystemAccurion proudly presents the new MOD-1 plus system for active anti vibration isolation of sensitive applications like Atomic Force Microscopes.

The major difference in our new system is the integration of automatic load adjustment as well as an user-friendly USB interface. MOD-1 plus systems offer excellent vibration isolation combined with easy to use technology.

The new system only needs a power supply and is ready for action within seconds. The removal of transport clamps and load adjustments is no longer necessary. The new software using the USB interface on the computer enables the user to analyze the vibration conditions in the laboratory. The user can compare several vibration measurements at different locations in the laboratory using Accurion's USB Interface and MOD-1 software. This enables the user to find the ideal workplace for the experiment. Excellent performance of the whole system is thereby example, a delicate microscope isolated by the system will remain at rest despite forces applied by the guaranteed. Our MOD-1 plus is "the first active anti-vibration system that seeks its ideal location by itself".

MOD-1 SystemThe MOD-1 series was developed for high resolution imaging applications like AFM, Scanning Near-Field Optical Microscopy, and other SPM applications.

This moderately priced, compact active vibration isolation system achieves better isolation than the biggest and most expensive passive systems. Inertial feedback is used via electro-dynamic transducers, provide isolation from building vibrations and vibration sources placed on the system itself.

The inherent stiffness of the system, typically 50 times greater than that of a 1 Hz resonance passive isolator, imparts excellent directional and positional stability.

The design has been optimized to achieve the best possible isolation for delicate instruments, such as AFM, STM, SEM, TEM and other high resolution instruments, allowing the achievement of ultimate instrument performance. MOD Systems have also proven to be extremely successful for supporting sensitive experiments, such as the troughs for liquids used in measurements on Langmuir-Blodgett films.

Features of MOD 1 plus

- New: Simple and comfortable setup through automatic load adjustment.
- New: Software to analyze the vibration conditions of the location including 3 different features:

1. Diagnostic: provides information on the functionalities of the sensor system.
2. Monitor: evaluation of the current vibration levels.
3. Location: find ideal location for the entire system.

  • - Isolation begins at 0.6 Hz, increasing rapidly to at least 40 dB beyond 10 Hz, offering excellent isolation for typical laboratory applications.
  • - Excellent isolation even at frequencies as low as 2-3 Hz, where many buildings show large horizontal amplitudes due to oscillation about the vertical axis.
  • - Active isolation against all six possible translational and rotational models.
  • - Virtually no low frequency resonance, a resonance that plagues all passive isolation systems.
